How to Make Washcloth Lollipops.

Provide the mother-to-be with a party favor bag filled with baby washcloth lollipops. Use washcloths with lined edges that contrast the color of the cloth itself for the most polished look.

Steps.

1. Lay a washcloth on a flat surface.

2. Roll the bottom of the washcloth up and over. Continue rolling the washcloth until you have formed a tight roll.

3. Turn the washcloth 90 degrees. Make sure that the end with the colored lining is facing you.

4. Roll the washcloth from the bottom, up and over, until you’ve created a tight circular roll. The lining of the washcloth will create a colored swirl in the center of the lollipop.

5. Hold the washcloth tightly and push it into a lollipop bag.

6. Secure the bottom of the bag with a small rubber band so that the washcloth lollipop does not come unfurled.

7. Insert a baby spoon into the wrapper. Push until the cup of the spoon touches the bottom of the washcloth. The rubber band will hold the spoon in place.

8. Tie a decorative ribbon in a bow around the rubber band. The ribbon should match the washcloth colors for the most attractive look.

Tips.

If you don’t want to use baby spoons, then you can simply use generic lollipop sticks.

For variety, you can also use small burp cloths in addition to the washcloths to make the lollipops.

For a fun presentation, fill a small transparent vase full of candy-covered chocolates. Push the lollipops between the chocolates to create a candy and washcloth bouquet.

Warnings.

If you want the washcloth lollipops to stand up in a presentation, be sure to use small washcloths. If the lollipops are too top-heavy, then they will fall over.
